Alliance Health is a managed care organization (LME/MCO) serving families in the central North Carolina region, including Wake, Durham, Cumberland, and Johnston counties. If your child is enrolled through Alliance Health, they may be eligible for ABA therapy services at no out-of-pocket cost.

Coverage Details

Alliance Health covers ABA therapy as a Medicaid-funded behavioral health service. Covered services typically include:

• Functional Behavior Assessments — Comprehensive evaluations to guide treatment planning
• Individual ABA therapy — Direct one-on-one therapy sessions
• BCBA supervision — Ongoing oversight by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
• Parent and caregiver training — Strategies you can use at home to support your child’s progress

Prior Authorization

Alliance Health requires prior authorization before ABA therapy can begin. Our team handles the entire process, including submitting clinical documentation, coordinating with Alliance Health’s utilization management team, and managing reauthorizations as treatment continues.
